SpendThrift is a personal spending tracker that can analyze financial transaction alerts from a connected email account. This policy explains the information we intend to access and how it is used.

Information we access

When you connect Yahoo Mail, SpendThrift is designed to access only the email information necessary to identify financial transaction alerts, such as transaction amount, date, merchant, payment method, reference information and available balance when present.

Information we store

SpendThrift stores structured financial information needed to provide the spending dashboard, such as transactions, categories, account identifiers such as the last four digits, and synchronization history. We do not need your bank password.

Unrelated email

SpendThrift is not intended to be a general-purpose email client. Unrelated personal messages are not part of the product's purpose and should not be retained.

How information is used

Information is used to import, categorize, display and summarize your personal transactions and to improve the reliability of transaction parsing. We do not sell personal email or transaction data.

Security

Authentication credentials and service tokens should be handled server-side using secure storage. Access controls are designed so that users can access only their own financial data.

Your choices

You can disconnect your email connection and request deletion of your SpendThrift financial data through the product's privacy controls.
